Hailing from Minneapolis, Louisiana and New York, the musicians of Dark Dark
Dark compose music that unites their roots in a moving, delicate folk style.
After a stuttering debut on the album The Snow Magic (2008), this sextet of
three pianists, which presents itself as a chamber orchestra so influenced by
American minimalist classical music, found its way with the albums Bright Bright
Bright (2009) and Wild Go (2011). The separation of Nona Marie Invie and
Marshall LaCount did not hinder the evolution of the group, which returned at
the end of 2012 with Who Needs Who.
