Damon J. Blackman, known professionally as Dame Grease, was born on August 9,
1974, in New York City and is an American record producer and songwriter. He
began his career in the mid-1990s, gaining recognition through production work
with Bad Boy Records and The LOX. In 1996, his production helped The LOX secure
a deal with Puff Daddy's Bad Boy Records, contributing to their debut album
Money, Power & Respect, including the hit "We'll Always Love Big Poppa". Dame
Grease also produced 13 tracks on DMX's debut album It's Dark and Hell Is Hot
