Cry Cry Cry was a folk supergroup formed in 1998, consisting of Richard
Shindell, Lucy Kaplansky, and Dar Williams. The trio released their eponymous
debut album, Cry Cry Cry, on October 13, 1998, which featured cover songs and
gained significant airplay on folk music radio. Based on playlists sent to
FolkDJ-L, the album ranked as the fourth most played by folk music DJs in 1998,
the fifth in 1999, and remained in the top 250 through 2002. In support of the
