Cotoba is a South Korean math rock band that formed in Seoul in 2018. The band's
name derives from the Japanese word "cotoba," meaning "word, language."
Initially consisting of Dafne, Dyon Joo, Hyerim, and Minsuh, Cotoba released
their debut EP Form of Tongue in 2019. In 2020, Cotoba gained attention with
popular videos on Naver Onstage and was selected for the Glastonbury Festival,
though it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Undeterred, Cotoba released
