Chucky73—born Adel Mejía in La Vega, Dominican Republic, and raised in the
Bronx—emerged from the vibrant streets of New York City, absorbing influences
from Dominican dembow, Latin trap, and underground drill. In 2017, he co-founded
the Bronx-based label and collective Sie7etr3, which captured attention in 2019
with low-fi, high-energy tracks like “Wili,” “Wini,” “Colombiana,” and
“Brazilera,” earning acclaim for its infectious, celebratory take on drill and
