Birgitta Cecilia Vennersten‑Ingemanson, born 26 September 1970 in Sweden, is a
Swedish pop singer whose career began with a televised imitation of Mariah Carey
that led to her discovery by Peter Grönvall. She entered the national music
contest Melodifestivalen in 1995 with "Det vackraste", finishing second and
earning the 1995 Best Song award; the single was followed by "Skogens Rå" and
"Lämnad I mörkret". Her debut album, Cecilia Vennersten (1995), achieved
platinum sales in Sweden and Norway and included the Swedish version of "Show Me
