Catherine Durand was born on September 23, 1971 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She
is a singer-songwriter of folk-pop songs. Her musical career began in 1998, when
she signed with the multinational Warner Music Canada. That same year, she
released her first album, Flou. 2001 saw the release of her 2nd album, Catherine
Durand. The song "Peu importe " from this album won the Prix Chanson pop-rock at
the SOCAN Gala. In 2005, she released Diaporama, which was nominated in the
