Casey Jones & The Governors are a British rock group formed in 1963. Brian
Cassar, born on March 21, 1936, in Newcastle upon Tyne, initially worked as a
cook before founding the band Cass and The Cassanovas in 1959. This group
transitioned from folk to beat music and eventually evolved into The Big Three
after Cassar left. Cassar then adopted the stage name Casey Jones and formed The
Engineers, which included musicians like Eric Clapton and Tom McGuinness. After
