New York, United States. The band emerged from the breakup of Fallout, with
Peter Steele’s heavy‑metal background shaping its early direction. Their
breakthrough came with the single "Predator" in 1985, leading to the self‑titled
debut album Carnivore released on 1 November 1985, which showcased a crossover
