Captain Gips
Arne Gotthard Ihlenfeld, known professionally as Captain Gips, is a German
rapper born in Hamburg. His musical journey began in Wedel, inspired by Public
Enemy's music. In the mid-1990s, he started writing lyrics and formed the rap
group Diebe der Zeit, which released a demo in 1998. After the group disbanded
in 2002, Captain Gips pursued a solo career, releasing his debut album
Transformer in 2006. In 2009, he launched the project Optimus Prime, featuring
