Candy 66, a Venezuelan alternative metal band, was formed in Caracas on October
28, 1998. The group gained significant traction after winning the Festival
Nuevas Bandas in 2000, which led to increased exposure and a growing fanbase.
Their debut album, POP (For Other People), was released in 2001, followed by A+
in 2003 under Latin World Records. Candy 66 received the Premio Mejor banda de
nuevas tendencias in the Premios Metal Hecho En Venezuela 2002-2003 and shared
