Buke and Gase
Buke and Gase, an American musical duo based in New York, was formed in 2008 by
Arone Dyer and Aron Sanchez. The duo is named after their self-invented
instruments: the buke, a six‑string former-baritone ukulele, and the gase, a
hybrid guitar-bass. Before forming Buke and Gase, Dyer had been writing songs
since 1993 and performed at coffee houses around her hometown of Willmar,
Minnesota. She moved to New York in 1998 after experiencing carpal tunnel issues
