Brian Simpson is a composer and contemporary jazz pianist known for both his
solo albums and his work as a sought-after studio musician. While primarily a
jazz musician, he has crossed over into the world of R&B to write for and
perform with artists including Teena Marie and Janet Jackson.
Simpson grew up around music and, after graduating college, moved to LA to take
the plunge into the city's music scene. He played with the likes of Boney James,
