Brandi Carlile
Brandi Marie Carlile was born on June 1, 1981 in Ravensdale, not far from
Seattle, Washington, USA. After a near-death experience with meningitis at the
age of five, she developed an interest in singing and found herself performing
country songs on stage at just 8 years of age. After signing with the Columbia
label, the singer inaugurated her discography in 2005 with a debut album soberly
entitled Brandi Carlile (No. 80). She continued her progress two years later
with The Story (No. 41 in 2007), followed by Give Up the Ghost (No. 26 in 2009).
A new milestone was reached in 2012 ...
