Real name Georges Thurnston, Boule Noire was born in Bedford, Canada, on
December 29, 1951, and grew up in numerous foster homes after being abandoned by
his parents at birth. He began his musical career with the R&B group Les
Zinconnus in 1965, but after three years of loyal service decided to go solo.
Although his 45-turn singles were not very successful, he worked in the shadow
of artists such as Robert Charlebois, Claude Dubois and Nanette Workman. It
