Jose Roberto Pulido Jr. (April 25, 1971), better known as Bobby Pulido, is an American singer-songwriter and actor from Edinburg, Texas. Along with Selena, he is credited with popularizing Tejano music in the United States. The son of award-winning Tejano legend Roberto Pulido, he took his first steps in music by joining his father’s band as a saxophonist and backup vocalist. His solo debut Desvelado was released in 1996 by EMI Latin and rapidly became a smash hit among Mexican American teenagers, obtaining platinum certification by the RIAA after selling over 100,000 copies.
