Australian pop girl group Bardot, was formed in 1999 and consisted of Belinda
Chapple, Sophie Monk, Sally Polihronas, Katie Underwood, and Tiffani Wood. The
group emerged from the reality television series Popstars, which attracted high
ratings and significant media exposure. Bardot's formation was marked by
controversy when original member Chantelle Barry departed abruptly. Tiffani Wood
replaced her, and the group named themselves after French actress Brigitte
