Bahram Pourmand, known professionally as Bahramji, was born in 1952 in
Kermanshah, Iran, and began playing the santur at thirteen, performing locally
before leaving Iran in 1977 for studies in India and later settling in Europe.
His first releases appeared in the late 1990s, with Sama (1997) marking his
entry into the New‑Age scene. In 2004 he issued the album Call of the Mystic
featuring the song "Dreamcatcher", and in 2007 the albums Master & Disciple and
