Aya Ueto, born 上戸彩 on September 14, 1985, in Nerima, Tokyo, Japan, is a Japanese
singer and actress. At age 12, she won the special jury prize at the seventh
Japan Bishōjo Contest, which led to her joining the talent agency Oscar
Promotion for singing, dancing, and acting lessons. In 1999, Ueto formed the
girl group Z-1 with fellow contestants, but the group disbanded in 2002. That
