As Cities Burn was an American Christian post-hardcore band from Mandeville,
Louisiana. Formed in 2002, the group initially gained attention as an unsigned
act before signing with Solid State Records in 2004. Their debut album, Son, I
Loved You at Your Darkest, released on June 21, 2005, featured heavy screaming
by frontman TJ Bonnette and marked their breakthrough. The band toured
extensively, including the Young Bloods Tour with The Chariot and Showbread in
