Arena Hash, a Peruvian rock band formed in Lima in 1984, originated from an
earlier group called Paranoia, which was founded by Pedro Suárez-Vértiz at
Colegio María Reina. The band's breakthrough came in 1988 with the local hit
"Cuando La Cama Me Da Vueltas" from their self-titled debut album Arena Hash.
This album also featured notable tracks such as "Me Resfrié en Brasil" and
"Stress." In 1990, they released their second album, Ah Ah Ah, which included
