Ar Log was a Welsh-language band from the United Kingdom formed in 1976 when
Dave Burns, Dafydd Roberts, Gwyndaf Roberts, and Iolo Jones were brought
together by the Welsh Committee of the Lorient Festival. The group adopted the
name Ar Log, meaning "for hire," and released their self-titled debut album Ar
Log that same year. In 1978, Iolo Jones left the band, followed by Dave Burns in
1979; they were replaced by Geraint Glynne Davies and Graham Pritchard,
respectively. The group continued to release albums, including Ar Log II and Ar
Log III.
