In 1973, French singer Anne-Marie David won the Eurovision Song Contest with her
song "Tu te reconnaîtras". Born in Casablanca on May 23, 1952, she was noticed
at the age of twenty by the musical Jesus Christ Superstar, in which she played
the role of Marie-Madeleine and sang "La Chanson de Marie-Madeleine", her first
single. Awarded the Grand Prix de l'Académie Charles-Cros for the song "Aimer",
she represented Luxembourg at the 1973 Eurovision Song Contest held in the same
