Anne Haigis was born on 9 December 1955 in Rottweil, West Germany, and emerged as a German singer whose early training included flute and guitar. Her breakthrough came in the early 1980s when she released the debut album For Here Where the Life Is (1981) and followed it with Fingernails (1982), establishing her presence in the German pop and blues scene.
