Andrea Pozza was born on October 17, 1965 in Genoa, Italy. He began his musical
journey at age 13 performing in a local jazz club. In the 1990s, he joined Steve
Grossman's quartet and collaborated extensively with tenor saxophonist Gianni
Basso. Pozza has worked with notable figures such as Charlie Mariano, Chet
Baker, Lee Konitz, George Coleman, and Enrico Rava. From 2004 to 2008, Pozza was
a member of Enrico Rava's quintet. He released several albums including Stormy
Weather (2005), Plays Ellington, Monk & Himself (2006), and Siciliana (2016).
