Américo Young is a Uruguayan singer-songwriter associated with the country’s
plena/tropical scene, first known as the lead voice of Los Negroni before
stepping out on his own in 2018. In 2019 he launched his solo run on Montevideo
Music Group with early singles like “Desakato” and “La Noche Es Hoy,” then
expanded his reach that same year with “Desakato 2.0,” a collaboration credited
