Soon after The Beatles finished their legendary residence at the Star Club in
Hamburg, young British guitarist Graham Barnes and his band The Jayhawks rolled
into town as their replacements at the venue. Jayhawkmania never did catch on in
quite the same way, but Barnes changed his name to Alvin Lee, the band became
blues rockers Ten Years After and together they went on to international fame,
releasing ten albums; playing at the Woodstock festival and releasing the hit
