Ali Project is an avant-garde rock band from Tokyo, Japan, featuring musicians Arika Takarano and Mikiya Katakura. Blending prog-rock and baroque influences with vintage clothes inspired by Japan's "street fashion" craze, the band debuted with 1988's Gensou Teien, which was released under the original band name "Ant Project."
