Alex Lloyd
Alexander Wasiliev, known professionally as Alex Lloyd, was born in November
1974 in Sydney, Australia. He is a singer and songwriter of Russian-Irish
descent who grew up in the inner Sydney suburb of Balmain. At age 15, he was
part of a school rock band that won the 1990 Balmain Battle of the Bands. This
early success led to the formation of several bands, including The Beefs and
Mother Hubbard. Alex Lloyd's professional music career began in 1998 with the
release of his debut single "Peepshow/Momo", followed by "Black the Sun" from
