Alex Butcher
Alexander Metzger, known professionally as Alex Butcher, was born on April 18,
1969, in Germany. He started his career as a DJ and music producer, gaining
early recognition as Lightjockey & DJ of the Frankfurt Airport Disco Dorian Gray
from 1988 to 2000. His breakthrough came in 1991 with the release of "Sound to
Light – He Butcher" on Overdrive Records, which became a significant club hit.
Butcher's success continued with various productions and remixes, including
collaborations with Culture Beat, Dance 2 Trance, Mark ’Oh, Kim Sanders, DJ
