Pop singer-songwriter Alec Mension was born in Bruges on January 26, 1958.
Trained at the Conservatoire, he launched a solo career in 1982, which was first
acclaimed with the single "L'eau de Nice " a year later. He formed the group
Léopold Nord & Vous in 1983 with his two brothers, Benoit and Hubert. The trio
met with success with the single "C'Est l'amour" , which sold over a million
copies. It is certified Disque d'Or in France and remains in the Top 50 for
