Co-founder of IAM, the rapper with multiple aliases (Chill, Sentenza, AKH) known as Akhenaton is one of the tutelary figures of French hip-hop. His talent as a calm, moderate orator and his literate rap have made him a media-friendly spokesman for the genre. Alongside IAM, he has pursued a solo career, beginning in 1995 with the classic Métèque et Mat and continuing with the brilliant Comme un Aimant (soundtrack to his 2000 film) and his Black Album (2002).
