ADULT. is an American electroclash, electropunk, and synth-pop band from
Detroit, Michigan, formed in 1998 by married couple Nicola Kuperus and Adam Lee
Miller. They started releasing music under the pseudonym Plasma Co. before
adopting the ADULT. name. Known for their dark, noisy, punk-infused electro
sound with cold synths, driving beats, detached vocals, and a raw, minimal edge,
they were key players in the electroclash scene around 2000–2005, blending EBM
influences, new wave, and early techno/punk attitudes—often darker and more
