Known for their blend of disco and soul, À La Carte was a British girl group
based in Germany, active from 1978 to 1984. The trio initially consisted of
Patsy Fuller, Julia, and Elaine, all Scottish singers. Their first single, "When
the Boys Come Home", released in March 1979, gained significant traction after a
performance on the television show Musikladen, propelling them to popularity in
Germany. The group's lineup frequently changed with new singles; Jenny Renshaw
