3rd Storee was formed in 1997 in South Central Los Angeles by Kevontay Jackson,
Kenneth Pratt (formerly Lil’ Man), Dante Clark (D’Smoove), and Barry Reed Jr.
(Jay‑R). The quartet signed with Edmonds Entertainment and quickly secured
opening slots for Britney Spears and NSYNC, establishing a touring presence
before releasing their debut single "If Ever" in 1999, which peaked at Number 7
